Description:
Poster 1 of 3 of my series of Posters depicting landmarks on Mars. This piece is a fantasy depiction of Valles Marineris from the West End. At more than 4,000 km long, 200 km wide and up to 7 km deep,[1][2] the Valles Marineris rift system is one of the larger canyons of the Solar System, surpassed only by the rift valleys of Earth and (in length only) by Baltis Vallis on Venus.

Details:
This is my first attempt at a Landscape Digital Painting. I'm very happy with what I have accomplished in this piece. I can't wait to push it further in the future. The poster depicts a fantasy view of the Valles Marineris near sunset. Heavy clouds have built over the canyon and a sandstorm is beginning to form in the lower right. The 2 moons of Mars, Phobos & Deimos appearing above and below the setting sun.
